POINTS FROM LETTERS.
A LOST MEDAL.
In the "News of the Day" of October 14 (Saturday) there is an account of the finding of a medal marked "E. G. Percival" in Waitomo Caves. The 'writer is an old school mate of Percival, who. is an old Lyttelton boy, and I believe Percival lost this medal many years ago while on his honeymoon. He is in employment of the New Zealand Government Railways as an engine driver, and I believe is now stationed at Wellington, and I am sure he will be delighted to get this medal again. I hope your valuable paper will be the means of restoring to him this long-lost trophy. , I am forwarding the cutting from the "Star" to my brother in Hawera, who will knowi just where Percival is stationed. I believe he won this medal at a New Year's Day regatta at Lyttelton, and the letters L.P.A.C. stand for Lyttelton Pirate Athletic Club. J. J. TOY.
