SPECTACULAR AIR CRASH IN ENGLAND.—A big R.A.F. Vickers Virginia night bomber overshot the landing ground at Brooklands on September 16, just after the start of the 500-mile car race, and crashed in the ditch on the inside edge of the Byfleet Banking. Several of the crew were hurt and were taken to hospital, and the pilot was killed. The crowd round the wreckage after the crash.
