ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION. SHIPS CALL AT WELLINGTON". {By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUXEDIN", this day. Hundreds of applications for posts with the Byrd Antarctic expedition are being received from all parts of New Zealand, and it is impossible to treat each letter separately. It has now been learned that the expedition ships will call at Wellington before coming to Dunedin to pick up frozen cargo which was lauded at the northern port by the steamer Port Fremantle some weeks ago. No indication has yet been given as to when the ships are expected to arrive here.
