MEETING NEGLIGENCE CASES. AMENDING LEGISLATION. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. An important amendment to the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) will come before Parliament this session. It Was suggested recently by Mr. A. i;- Ansell (Coalition Reform, Chalmers) that the Act should be amended to proy'de, under the contract of insurance, wr the payment of damages on account of any third party killed or injured as the result of a motor vehicle accident caused through the negligence of the driver, where the negligent party himself has been killed. Instructions have been issued for the Preparation of legislation to meet the rases of the kind referred to," the Ut. ■Hon- J. G. Coates, Minister of Transport, announced yesterday. "At an early date the draft legislation will be considered Government, with a view to the mtroduction of a bill this session."
