SIAM REVOLT.
Rebel Aeroplanes Fly Over Bangkok. INTENTION TO TAKE CITY. SINGAPORE, October 17. Intelligent British opinion regards the Siamese rebels' chances favourably and considers that their success would be welcomed by the population. The view is expressed that the people of Siara are inclined to blame the present Government for the declining trade of the past year. Rebel aeroplanes are flying over Bangkok. The rebels say they could take the city in two days, but are refraining from attacking because their friends are within the capital. There is no railway communication from Malaya beyond 200 kilometres from the Malayan frontier.
