DOMAIN TREES.
I suggest that Mr. Paterson, chairman of tlic parks coiiiniiti.cc, should, take si walk to the Parnell side of the Domain, say, to the top of the steps at the Npaherc Terrace entrance to the Domain, some afternoon when the sun is shining, and after watching the red and copper lights gleaming in the leafing poplars he may perhaps appreciate their "scenic value." Looking inwards from the sea one of Auckland's greatest beauties is its skyline, that line of trees especially nt si" l ' set; but this, is lieing thinned til! "e fear that soon there will be left a line of roofs aiul chimneys sticking up into the sunset. ° 1 RURU.
