Buttons have become decorative, and are much in evidence in the cominp: fashions. Some, used with velvet and wool coats, have painted scenes on them, others arc in gay enamels and line paste and steel. These are sparingly used on coats, but adorn gauntlet cuffs in profusion. A scarf of wool ropes in gay colours has wooden buttons to match its sombre tweed coat; while considerable chic is achieved by wearing small round coral buttons on a waistcoat of creamy satin, worn with a black wool suit and completed by a black velvet cap having a coral ornament. Some buttons have an outer ring of fur (usually broadtail cr lamb), and strike a somewhat Victorian' note. ■ Why Tolerate Pimples ■ ■ and Blackheads when ■ | CUTICURA ■ J Quickly Relieves Them 2 a Soap and Ointment, sold at all chemists ■ 'Permanent Waving.' £§i Special Price ififefSl for XMAS. |§y» I "LOUISE" SALON, Kfl ~ 3rd Floor, Short's BuildIra' tsEi ings, Queen Street, ■r Phone 42-093.
