WAR SERVICE.
BORDER-MHE CASES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Machinery to meet the cases of exsoldiers whose breaking-down in health is indirectly attributable to war service is provided in legislation Mr. J. A. Lee (Labour, Grey Lynn) introduced into the House this afternoon. Mr. Lee proposes that ill cases where disability cannot be directly placed at the door of war injuries, but is the ultimate result of war service, the individual should be eligible for pension assistance, and in tills connection lie suggests that the onus of disproving the man's claim should rest with the Department.
