AMAZING CONTRAST.
Prices of South African Butter. SEQUEL TO DROUGHT. (Received 12.30 p.m.) CAPETOWN, October 12. The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. J. C. Kemp, has issued a permit to the Dairy Association to import butter. The drought has caused a shortage resulting in an advance in price to 2/5 per lb. The Union has exported 5,000,0001b of butter, -which is selling overseas at BJd a lb.
