TTNAX. GAME OF ST. GEORGE. RETURN CONTEST WITH RICHMOND. Tile footballing public will be looking with eagerness to a fine exhibition of the code to-morrow afternoon at Carlaw Park, when the St. George team, of Sydney, will make its final appearance by meeting Richmond. Rovers in a return match. When the sides last met on September 27, a somewhat hectic display resulted in the defeat of the visitors by 13 points to S. Both clubs are anxious to prove on this occasion that the previous over-keen clash was -merely "fireworks" exaggerated and that each thirteen is callable of first-class football imbued with the best sporting spirit. The visitors, who have lost two out of four matches against Auckland clubs, are very anxious to register a win in the farewell contest—the seventh fixture of their New Zealand tour. The players are fit, and the "dragon-slayers" will be represented by what may be regarded as their best balanced thirteen.

Richmond have been preparing for this return match, and their decisive victory over Marist last week-end suggests that they are entitled to parade with some confidence. Their full-back, Lee, is unavailable, and, whilst this lias necessitated some rearrangement of the back division, it has allowed for the introduction of a young brother of C. Satherley. The recruit is stated to have good credentials. A. E. Cooke will be full-back, a position in which he won distinction in his junior days. If anything, the side will be stronger than on last appearance. An attractive fourth grade curtainraiser has been arranged to start at 1.30 p.m., and prior to the big match a scratch race will be held from goal-line to goalline (110 yards) for players in football garb. It is expected that two seniors from each club will take part, in addition to the fast wingers of St. George, Breunan and Martin. The St. George team will leave the ground after the match directly for the steamer Wauganella, by which they will return home. The teams to-morrow are:— St. George.—pull-back, Robinson; threequarters, Martin, Hollingsworth, Ward, Brennan: half-backs. Carey, Daly; forwards, Ilnvward, Fairall, Sproustcr, Rice, Kelly. Ivilliby.
