BOXING TO-NIGHT.
GREAT FIGHT EXPECTED
To-night at the Town Hall Auckland fight fans will have the opportunity of seeing a contest which, in the opinion of many eminent judges, will provide the greatest fight seen here for many a long day. This view is based principally on the fact that both men favour the attractive hard-hitting type of fighting, with a minimum of clinching, while Oxley, the New Zealand lightweight champion, who is well known for his great hitting power, will be meeting a fighter who not only likes to mix it, but who can punch as well. Both men have finished their training in first-class condition and to-day both were ready and eager to decide the better man. It looks like a great night of fighting, and if the bout gets the attention it merits there should be a large attendance.
