GAMES IN THE SOUTH.
Miss V. Fleming, of Christchurch, defeated Mrs. G. H. Clark, of New Plymouth, in the final of the Tiranaki ladies' golf championship at New Plymouth on Saturday. The Livingstone Cup competition at Pukekohe resulted in a tie between C. Cooper (67 and 76) and F. J. Duncan (73 and 70). Mrs. Moeran (71 and 77) returned the best agsregeate (14S) for the two rounds of the ladies' contest. M. C. Lawson beat I. Reynolds in the semi-final of the Pukekohe championship, while R. S. F. Laird annexed the junior title, defeating M. Campbell in the final. Tho best cards returned in a Canadian foursomes at Kotorua were: Bayfleld and Dr Hay, 83—19 —04 ; Anderson and S. E. Carr, 7'0—6—64. The finals of the championships of the Whakatane Ladies' Golf Club resulted :— Seniors: Miss A. Black beat Mrs. Bullard, 2 up. Juniors: Miss S. Baker beat Miss L. Bell, S and 7. C grade: Mis, Beckett beat Miss M. Kighton, 4 and 3.
