MASQUERADER'S GUINEAS.

The spring meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club was concluded to-day, the •weather being fine at first, but rain setting in before the last race. The steeplechaser Kapuna paid a sensational dividend in winning the Wakari Hurdles. The totalisator handled £12,153, making a total of £19,315 for the two days, compared with £17,3G4 last year, an increase of £1951.
A. E. Ellis (New Zealand's leading jockey in 1928-29 with 61 wins), rider of Control, winner of the McLean Stakes on Thursday, was to-day suspended for two months for cutting-in too quickly at the start of that race.
