EX-SERVICE WOMEN.
Members of the Auckland Ex-Service Women's Association held their annual At Home in the Lyceum Club on Saturday afternoon. The lounge had been I charmingly arranged for the occasion i with bowk of azalea, lilac and stock, and the guests were received at the entrance by Mrs. H. R. Chambers, who wore blue and white checkered crepe and a navy hat to tone. She was assisted by Miss Luxford, treasurer, in light rust red can ,, . finished with a cape and sleeves in striped material of the eame colour, and a coffee and brown hat. ' Miss E. M. Ernest, secretary, wore a caramel mavocain finished with pale beige and a hat in shades of coffee. During the afternoon Mrs. Harold King delighted the company by singing, "I Am Longing for the Spring," "Stay With .Me Summer," "Kotu Poi," and by special request, <; Waiata Poi," followed by "The Song of the Locust," Mrs. W. H. McKinney acted as accompanist. An amusing competition was arranged by Miss Dick. Among those present were: Lady Richardson, Lady Nolan, Miss Mowbray. Mesdames J. A. Luxford, M. Hirst, W.
