NEW VICAR WELCOMED.
MANUREWA GATHERING.
The Rev. Canon A. J. Carr, the new vicar of St. Luke's Church, Manurewa, was welcomed at a gathering on Saturday evening. He was installed by Archbishop Averill. Addresses were given by Archdeacon Simkin and Archdeacon Mac Murray, the retiring vicar, the Rev. F. B. Dobson, and the people's warden, Mr. D. H. MaeDonakl. Speaking in reply, Mr. Carr said that he hoped to have the complete confidence of the people of the parish.
