Canberra.
COOK STRAIT "BATTLE." (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Australian Fleet has returned from the spring cruise. Referring to the published reports that the Canberra and the Australia were officially on the sea floor in Cook Strait, one officer protested that it was impossible to say whether the last manoeuvre resulted in victory for them or for the New Zealand ships, the Diomede and Dunedin, until the facts were collated and analysed by the 'espective commands.
