ROSS AND CANZONERI.
Barney Boss, who on June 23, at Chicago, took the world lightweight title from Tony Canzoneri, will be a "fighting champion," his managers said as they prepared for a return bout with Canzoneri in New York.
Sam Pian and Art Winch, co-managers of Ross, said' the bout would be held "late this summer." Plans for the return fight were made preliminary to the title bout, Pian said, contingent upon victory ]>y Ross.
Pian said that arrangements for the return bout were only in a formative stage. The only condition is that Ros-5 receive a guarantee of 30,000 dollars, equal to the guarantee Canzoneri received for the title bout.
