Rifle Shooting.
AUCKLAND CITY CLUB.
In perfect 'weather the club opened the championship series at 500 yds and 000 yds this afternoon. The wind was somewhat variable in direction at the shorter range, but steadied into the west lor the final; hero it caused odd lots of trouble through changes in velocity. The first possible of the season was achieved by G. G. Kelly at 500 yds. F. Bowes counted out H. Siminonds and G. G. Kelly for first place, all three marksmen making 05 each.
