Straw hats rapidly lose their shape after a shower of rain and the brim becomes soft and floppy. They can be renovated at home quite easily. The hat should be held over the steam from a pan of boiling water and pulled into tho requisite shape. It should then be brushed over with ths white of an egg and allowed to dry. The brim should then bo covered with a damp cloth and ironed on the wrong side. This treatment will render the brim quite stiff and like new again. .
