BROWN'S BAY.
The president, Mrs. Moller, presided at tlio last meeting, when Mrs. Bowman and Miss Fort gave a demonstration of homo nursing. Mrs. Mitchell gave a recitation, and the competitions, for a vase of spring flowers, was won by Mrs. Henderson, and an iced cake by Mrs. Barnct. . EAST TAMAKI. An enjoyable afternoon was spent with competitions av.d demonstrations) when a cushion, made from silk scraps in the shape of cubes, was shown by Mrs. Ellery. Mrs. Dawson showed a cushion made with jumper silk, on a frame. There Was a good entry of plain scones-. This competition was won by Mrs. Hill 1, Mrs. Finlay and Mrs. Crooks 2. The competition, articles made with wallpaper, proved very instructive. The first was a picture made entirely from wallpaper by Mrs. Hill, the second, a fruit bowl, shaped out of paper pulp, and covered with decorative pit pel - , made by Mrs. George. A very useful tray, made | fekj Mr&, Orcraiston, took third place.
