GOLDEN WEDDING.
J The fiftieth anniversary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Henry McGratli, of 23, Queen Street, Onehunga, has teen celebrated. They were married at- St. Mary's Catholic Church, One- | hunga, by the late Rev. Monsignor Paul, lon September 23, 1883. Mr. McGrath I was born in Glasgow in 1859, and came jto New Zealand five years afterwards with his parents. He helped to construct i the railway from Auckland to Onej hunga, being employed by Mr. Brogden, j the contractor. He was afterwards em- | ployed on the Government railways, and retired two years ago.
Mrs. McGrath is the second daughter of the late Mr. Hugh MeManus, of County Cavan, Ireland. She arrived in Auckland on May 17, 1880, in the ship Loch Dec. Mr. and Mrs. McGratli went to live at Oneliunga 111 1885, where they have resided ever since. There are seven sons and one daughter. They had the distinction of seeing all their boys go voluntarily to the Great War, and receiving tlieni back again. They have received many letters and telegrams of congratulations, with numerous tokens of regard.
