BLUE STAR LINE.

TWO NEW MOTOR VESSELS. AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND SERVICE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. According to advice which was received to-day the Blue Star Line is going ahead with plans for entering tlie Australian and New Zealand shipping trade, and orders have been placed for two new motor ships embodying all the latest ideas of construction. In conjunction with other ships of the line, they will trade' regularly with Australia and "the Dominion. The new vessels will be 15,000 tons and will have a service speed of 17 knots, being probably the largest in the refrigerated trade. It is hoped that they will' be ready for service in October of next year. The Blue Star Line has a fleet of about 30 large steamers, including 11 vessels over 10,000 tons, the largest being the Arandora Star, whicli is 14,700 tons.

j Reports published recently indicate that besides two new vessels for the Blue Star Line, seven other motor ships are being built for the trade between Britain and New Zealand. Two of 12,000 tons each and about 500 ft in length, are being constructed for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company; two of 10,000 tons for the New Zealand Shipping Company; one of 9000 tons for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line; and the Federal Line has let tenders for two 11,000-ton motor ships.
