BRITAIN'S DAIRY IMPORTS.

EIGHT MONTHS' RETURNS. Britain's dairy imports for the first eight months of the present year were greater than for the similar period in either 1932 <r ID.'!]. Details of the sources of these imports are supplied in the following table:—

Danish imports of 1 "..Iter declined by nearly 1000 tons, while those from New Zealand increased over ]2,000 tons. The decline in Danish sup-1 plies is fully accounted for in the August I returns, for in that month they dropped ]o.o'o tons (1932) to 10.757 tons. Au '—alian returns, too. fell off in August, namely, from 5705 tons (1032) to 2200 tons. In cheese this country' has more than 5j aintaincd its dominating position.
