WEEK OPENS QUIETLY. SOME LINES EASIER. The Auckland Stock Exchange opened the week quietly, and only four sales were recorded at the first call. Bidding was not so brisk as of late, brokers being .satisfied, for the most part, in r: instating the week-end quotations. In the banking section Commercials cased a little with a sale at 16/10, after which holders dropped back to 16/9. Goldsbrough, Moi't shares were easier, with sellers at £1 S./10, and best buyers stopping at £1 S/6. New Zealand Newspapers were quoted ox dividend, with sellers at £ 1 8/, and nc buyers. Waihis were unaltered, buyers offering £1 6/6 and holders asking £1 7/. King Solomons Active. There was little business during the morning, and at the noon call activity was mainly confined to the goldmining sectioiv with King Solomons selling freely at ' o penny above their morning value.
