SOUTH AUCKLAND AGAIN. RETURN GAME AGAINST AUCKLAND GOOD CARLAW PARK PROGRAMME • The return match between Auckland and South Auckland representative teams to bo staged at Carlaw Park to-morrow gives promise of being as fine a contest as lias been seen at headquarters for many a day. When the Waikato men appeared here on July 15, in defence of the Northern Union Cup then held by them, they completely dominated tho Play. 311(1 created a surprise by ending with, a clearcut victory over a thirteen which was considered to be certain to bring the cup back to Auckland. Though the ground was heavy on that occasion, little excuse could be made on behalf of the metropolitan elect. Encouraged by that success. South Auckland, who were unable to field quite their best side against the West Coast, and therefore lost possession ot the cup, will step out to-morrow with confidence. On the dry ground at Ngaruawahia on Wednesday against an improved Hawke s Bay combination, they teamed like champions, and undoubtedly will prove the most difficult opposition faced by Auckland so far this season. The forwards are solid eind fast, and their backs move with pace and understanding. Garry, the clever Taupiri five-eighths, who .impressed at the Park previously, will again appear, and the side appears to be strengthened. Unfortunately, Auckland will be without the services of Clarke and Wayne, two City representative players, but Cooke 6 inclusion should be some reparation. Much will depend on ascendancy in the scrums, a department in which South Auckland are no notices. It should be a stirring battle. The teams will 'be:— South Auckland. Full-back.—G.
