SPEEDED UP MAILS.
TARANAKI AND AUCKLAND. AN OVERNIGHT SERVICE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) STRATFORD, this day. The opening of the passenger service on the Stratford Main Trunk Line will effect a great speeding up of mail services. Auckland letters posted at Stratford at 7.35 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will arrive in Auckland by the Limited the following morning. On other days there will also be a saving of some hours. The same applies to mails' in the opposite direction. ' The service to Main Trunk towns will also be improved considerably.
