AN ADJUSTABLE SEED DRILL.
A handy little tool for making a number of seed drills at any particular distance apart is illustrated. A piece of hard timber about two by one and a half and about two feet three inches long should be obtained and have a groove worked in the top side, as shown at C, and a handle be secured at the centre by means of two angle irons, as at A. Four
or five iron teeth, shaped as at B, so that they will fit over C and into the Toove D, should be obtained from the Tocal blacksmith. Two bolts, with thumb-nuts, as at E, to bolt another etrip of wood, two by three-quarter inch, over the top of C, to hold the teeth secure, completes the tool. The teeth can be spaced at any convenient distance.
