The new home of the Royal Hospital School, where most of the boys entering the British Navy are trained, was opened by the Prince of Wales on July 26. The school is the gift of the late G. S. Reade, who died in Auckland a few years ago. Our illustration top left shows the figurehead and ship's bell, mounted in concrete to represent a ship, at the school. The leading yacht in the picture bottom right is the famous Britannia; taking par* in one of the races this season. The particular interest in the picture is the perforated spinnaker carried by the King's yacht. The field of play, with white figures, illustrates the growth of athletics in Germany.
