AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB.

The first and second rounds of the Auckland Ladles' Golf Club's championship were played at Mlddlemore yesterday. Results:— First round: Miss E. Culling beat Mrs. Henderson, 6 and 5; Mrs. J. M. Wilson beat Miss N. MacCormick, 6 and 5; Mrs. Ferguson beat Mrs. Murphy, 10 and 8; Mrs. Kissling won from Miss F. Rathbone by default; Mrs. Ralph beat Mrs. Barstow, 2 and 1; Mrs. Rutherford beat Mrs. Abbott, 4 and 3; Miss B. White beat Mrs. Green, at the 19th; Miss Xi. Hoberton beat Mrs. Buttle. 1 up. Second round: Miss Culling beat Mrs. Wilson, 3 and 2; Mrs. Ferguson beat Mrs. Kisslins, 7 and C; Mrs. Rutherford beat Mrs. Ralph, 4 and 8; Miss Roberton beat Miss White, at the nineteenth. The first and second rounds of the junior championship were also played, results being:—First round : Miss P. Lever beat Mrs. A. Friedlander, 4 and 3; Miss P. Buddie beat Mrs. P. C. Buddie, 4 and 3; Miss T. Boddington beat Mrs. Bartle, 4 and 3; Miss R. Waller beat Mrs. E. Friedlander, 5 and 4; Miss M. Fouhy beat Mrs. Trousdale. 6 and 4; Miss M. Russell beat Mrs Busing, at the nineteenth ; Mrs. Macky beat Miss B. Kelly, 7 and 6 ; Mrs. Frater beat Mrs. Foster at the 19th. The semi-finals of both events will be nlaved on Tuesday morning, commencing at 10 o'clock, and will be followed in the afternoon by the finals. The C grade eclectic competition was won bv Miss T>. Gresrory with a score of 86. Mrs. Horrocks, 87, was second. The Auckland open provincial championship and handicap tournament will be played on the Mlddlemore links on September 12, 13 and 14.
