DON BR ADMAN WITH A STICK ? RULES FOR PATRICIA DAVIS CUP. The New Zealand Hockey Association has notified Auckland that an invitation had been extended to Australia to send a team to the Dominion next season. Advice was also received that Don Bradman, of cricket fame, who is also a hcckey player, would be included in the team of available to travel. _ _ T ™~ A special committee, Messrs. J. N. Wilson, 0. C. Preston and G. Peace, submitted rules for the Patricia Davis Cup, donated to the association by Mr. Trevor Davis, a vice-president, and these were approved at this week's meeting of the Auckland -Hockey Association. The cup will be presented to the club with the best record in all grades. . , ~ St.- Luke's was declared winner of the third grade competition. It decided to close the primary schools' competition and to declare Papatoetoe A the ™er Sj The New Zealand Association notified that Mr. H. E. Watts had been appointed to referee flie North v. South Island match at Nelson to-day, and that Mr. W. H. Wilson had been nominated by the Manawatu Association to control the New Zealand Challenge Shield contest against Auckland at Auckland.
