WHITE AMATEUR CHAMPION. The final of the Auckland provincial amateur billiards championship resulted last night in an easy victory for M. D. White, who defeated E. W. Warren by •187 points. The scores were:' —White, 1000 (breaks of 43, 73, 24, 25, 22, 38, 32 and 27); E. W. Warren, 513 (breaks of 20, 35, 21, 30 and 20). The winner averaged 9 per cue for the whole game. On behalf of Messrs. Billiards, Limited, Mr. C. Cummins congratulated the players on their displays, and presented the Billiards, Limited, Shield to Mr. White. The winner was also the recipient of a gold medal. The runner-up, Mr. E. W. Warren, was presented with the set of balls used in the championship. The players eulogised the excellent conditions under which tho championship was contested. The junior billiards championship was continued Inst evening in tho Vulcan Lane Parlour, D. Ilodon, 350, defeating A. Smellie, 310.
