DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.
Bandits' Haul of 35,000 Dollars Jnder Heavy Fire. POLICEMAN KILLED. NEW YORK, August 31. Machine-gun bullets killed one policeman and wounded another as five bandits took 35,000 dollars from two messengers in St. Paul, Minnesota. The messengers stepped from the bank into the centre of the city when the bandits' leader commanded them to drop their packages and immediately raked the street with bullets.
