AUCKLAND V. THE NAVY. AUSTRALIANS AT REMUERA; Devonport Shield games will be suspended until after the departure of the Australian Navy, to-morrow's hockey games at Remuera comprising two fixtures between the Auckland representatives and teams from the warships Canberra and Australia. Men-o'-warsmen, being naturally good on their feet, are usually adepts at fast games like hockey, and trained as the Australians have been, on hard fields and rolling decks, spectators should get some thrills from Saturday's contests. Ngaro, St. David's v. Wesley. „ Intermediate.—Technical v. Mount Eden, Wesley v. Kiwi, Clevedon a bye. Seniors (commencing on September 23).— Clevedon v.. Ngaro, Technical v. Kiwi, Wesley a bye.

The Wesley Club was granted permission to seek a game in Matakana on September 23, its first free Saturday, and the Ngaro Club to seek a game at Matakana on September 0, its bye Saturday.
