ROWING.
WAITEMATA BOATING CLUB.
A decision to open the Jubilee season on October 28 with a water pageant in the afternoon and a smoke concert in the evening was made at the annual meeting of the walteinata Boating Club. Mr. C. C. Cairns, who has been on the executive for 25 years, was elected a life member. The following officers were elected:— Commodore, Hon. Sir George Powlrls • vicecommodore, Mr. C. .T. Ellerbeck ; president, Mr. W. Denison: vice-presidents, same'as last year: captain, Mr.—lt. B. Smith ; vicecaptain. Mr. R. G. Barker; lion. Rocretary, Mr. .T. K. Ilunn ; lion, treasurer, Mr. L. N. Ross: committee. Messrs. C. C. Cairns, A. M. M.-ickay. E. H. Bishop, E. G. Ware, O. •T. C. Mason ; hon. auditor, Mr. A. A. Lucas; delegates to Auckland Bowing Association, Messrs. C. C. Cairns, A. M. Mackay, E. H. Bishop.
