HEADLEY GOES OVER.
SIGNS ON IN LANCASHIRE. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 30. George Headley, the crack West Indian cricketer, has accepted an offer to play for the Haslingden Club, Lancashire, and is expected to sign a twoyear contract. It is understood that this provides he must be released if West Indies requires his services for Tests. Playing against Sussex, at Hove, the West Indians scored 406 for niny wickets (Hoad 141 not out, Headley 79, Griffith 67 not out).
