FARM COMPETITIONS.
HAY, ENSILAGE AND ROOTS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) | PUTARURU, Wednesday. The results of the competitions for the best crops of hay, ensilage and swedes grown in the Putaruru district during the past season were announced at the field day organised by the Putaruru Farmers' Union by Mr. C. S. Dalgleish, who, with Mr. Woodyear Smith, acted as judge. The winners were as follows: —Pit ensilage, C. Musker 1, W. G. Vanveen 2, H. A. Baldwin 3. Stack ensilage: A. R. Vosper 1, E. D. White 2, K. S. Cox 3. Hay: A. R. Vgsper 1, A. D. Morris 2, H. W. Baldwin 3. Swedes: R. Addenbrooke 1, A. R. Vosper 2, C. E. Walsh 3.
