ORPHANS' CLUB.

I The members of the Onehunga I Orphans' Club held a successful and ! enjoyable ladies' night in the Foresters' | Hall last evening. Multi-coloured fairy j lights, flags and a wealth of cyclamen | and daffodils made gay and attractive j decorations. The guests were received ! by the president, Mr. D. H. Kirk Jones ! and Mrs. Kirk Jones, the latter wearing I a frock of wine red ring velvet and lace, i The Auckland Orphans' Club was represented by the past-president, Mr. Maxwell Walker, and the Tamaki Club by tlie president, Mr. George Warren. The orphans' orchestra, under Bro. Leighton, played selections from "H.M.s. Pinafore," which were enthusiastically received. Contributors to an entertaining programme were Misses Freda Evans, Edna Thomas and Meryl Harvey, the Clarion Quartet (Messrs. Engel, Archer, Watson, H. Skeels), and The Asquiths.
