STRANGE MILESTONE
The strangest milestone in England stands the main London-Eastbourne road, near Lower Dicker, Sussex. It tells passers-by that it marks a spot 51 miles from Bow Church, Cheapside, London, by the cryptic device of a bow surmounting four bells. Tho bow and the bells arc of cast iron fixed to a post of ancient Sussex oak.
