HAWKE'S BAY TEAM'S VISIT.
AUCKLAND COACH'S CONFIDENCE,
The Hawke's Bay representative team, which is to meet Auckland at Carlaw Park on Saturday, is expected to arrive about 6 p.m. to-day and will stay at tlio Criterion Hotel in Albert Stieet. In charge of Mr. H. C. Nicliolts, secretary of the Hawko's Bay League, the per-, sonnel of the first team from the Bay to play hero for eleven years is as follows:—Backs: J. McLean, H. and R. E. Smith, T. H. Godfrey, R. Farquliar, J. Seal (captain), S. Exeter, S. G. Elliott, R, G. Lister. Forwards: K. Rati ma, 11. W, Cushin" (vice-captain), G. R. Murray, L. Sullivan, H. Brady, S. T. Nesbit, R. H. Gordine and D. Jeffares. ; Mr. M. Wetherill, the ex-international player and well-known Auckland referee, is returning to the city with the visitors whom he has been coaching for the past fortnight. In an advance note he states that the Bay boys are fine footballers and'his work among them has been made a pleasure. Incidentally, he predicts that the Hawke's Bay combination is good and the side, which is weighty and fast, is capable of giving a fine display.
