DAFFODIL "AT HOME."
ST. MARK'S GUILD SPRING SHOW. The Daffodil "At Home" and Spring Flower Show of the St. Mark's Ladies' Guild was held this afternoon in the St. Mark's Parish Hall. The display of blooms was refreshingly springlike in its effect, and the sweet perfume of the daffodils challenged all comers to supremacy in attractiveness. The results of the judging are as follows: — Daffodils. —Open class—Twelve varieties, three blooms each : W. Danby (Thames) 1, Mr. Braithwaite 2. Nine varieties, one bloom eacli: W. Danby 1, Mr. Penn highly commended. Six varieties, three blooms each: W. Danby 1, Mr. Penn 2. Three varieties, three blooms each: ,W. Danby 1, Mr. Shepherd 2, Mr. I'enn highly commended. Cut Flowers. —Collection of six varieties spring flowers: Mrs. Bull 1, Mrs. MorleyBell 2, Mrs. Borrie 3. Bunch of 75 single violets: Mr. Wilson 1, Mrs. Morley-Bell 2. Bunch of primroses or polyanthus: Miss Spencer 1. Three varieties ranuncula, one to throe blooms of each : Mrs. Bull 1, Mrs. Armstrong 2. Three varieties anemones, one to throe blooms of each : Mrs. Bull 1, Mrs. Armstrong 2. Table Decoration.—All comers: Mrs. Moriey-Bell 1, Mrs. Gilbretson 2. All-non-prize-winners at the function: Mrs. Barry 1, Mrs. Harden 2. Daffodils only: Mrs. Bagnall 1, Mrs. Morley-Bell 2. Decorated Bowl.—Daffodils only : Mrs. Shepherd 1, Mrs. Smee 2. Mixed flowers: Miss Hannan 1 and 3, Miss Morton 2. Posy.—Adults: Mrs. Barry 1 and 2. Children over 12 : Miss Mary Hemphill 1, .Tocelyn Hes'seth 2.
