IDLING ON RELIEF JOBS.
CRITICISM AT MT. ROSKXIL The conduct of some of the relief woikers in Mount Roskill was discussed y the Road Board members last night. 1 " ■ Robertson said there were many loafers on works carried out under ,°" ® scheme. He contended that they should be reported, even by members of the board, if necessary. Mr. R. Sanft endorsed this statement. One day, hs said, he saw only two men working, while the others were engaged in discussion. A resolution was passed giving the foreman authority to dismiss men who refused to •w&k satisfactorily oa relief jobs.
