ASSESSOR RESIGNS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An unusual situation arose during conciliation council proceedings tlie morning, when Mr. J. Roberts, assessor for the Christchurch Saddle, Harness and Collar Makers' Union, declined to enter into an agreement on the basis of a rate of wages of 1/9 an hour for journeymen. | Mr. Roberts resigned his po« as assessor, I and a new assessor was hurriedly sent I . for, following which a full agreement was reached.
