TECHNICAL OLD BOYS CHAMP.

The Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club held its annual cross-country championship at Mission Bay on Saturday in perfect weather conditions over a course which proved very trying and which was very heavy. One swamp in particular proved verv tricky and even the hares, R. G. Kirkwood and A. Moon, found it difficult to pick their way across. A very pleasing feature was the presence of a large number of supporters, who were rewarded by some splendid running.

UNIVERSITY CLUB

The University Harrier Club held an excellent run from the foot of Victoria \venue. The course, chosen by the club secretary. .T. C. Graham, proved an extremely difficult one and included a great variety of country. So difficult was the going that after the first four runners—H. T. Jellie, J. C. Graham, R. Wfcittome and A. Ingham, had finished, others were coming in for nearly half an hour. A separate pack, comprising A. Hooper. B. Holmes, K. Watson and H. Kay followed a longer course towards Kohimarama, 4-Yvering in all about nine miles at a good >ace.
