TE AWAMUTU TRACK.
PAKURANGA CANDIDATES. YESTERDAY'S TRIALS. The course proper, next to the rails, was available at Te Awamukr yesterday morning for horses with engagements at the Pakuranga meeting, and two-year-olds. The plough and inner grass were also available. The Course Proper. Tenakoe, Kopurere and Te Taua finished in that order at the end of seven furlongs, from a barrier start, in 1.35. Te Taua was a long way back. rrotomint was moving nicely throughout a mile which occupied 1.51 2-5. He was assisted by the Lapidary gelding over the first three furlongs, which were traversed in 39 l-ss. The following two-year-olds were cantered down the straight:—Superior Guard, Ling Moy, Namukia and a Gay Shield—Persis filly. On the Plough. Beryl Latour ran six furlongs on the plough in 1.26 4-5. Others to do strong work on this track were:—Lucidus, Te Homai. Jonathan, Wait and See, King's Knave, Campanero, Bambury, Lia Fail, Impasto, D'Artagnan, Knight of Australia, Spearwin and Loombination. The following horses are duo to leave for Ellerslie to-day:—Beryl Latour, Te Taua, Tenakoe, Kopurere and Protomint.
