ANNUAL DANCE.

There was a large attendance at the annual ball of Messrs. John Burns and Company, Ltd., which was held at .the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening. Coloured fairy lights were suspended from the ceiling around the outer edge of the ballroom, casting an attractive glow on the dancers, while bowls of Iceland poppies arranged on tables added charm. During the evening paper hats and balloons were distributed, and novelty dances introduced, the chief attraction beinp the "Prosperity" dance, in which a "Mr. and Mrs. Prosperity" had to be discovered. During the evening an exhibition dance was given by Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. Priestly. The ladies on the comnffttee were: Miss Madge McMaster, in a frock of shell pink tucked georgette and lace; Miss M. Adlington, in daffodil georgette with chocolate brown velvet coatee, and Miss D. Robinson, in pomegranate red georgette. Amongrt those present were: Mrs. A. M. Ferguson, black satin with lace wrap; Mrs. A. G.
