» There were 20 starters 5n the Pnpatoctof Amateur Cycling Club's race to Papakur.i and back, a distance of 15 miles. A strong cross wind made It a hard race, slowing the times up considerably. Results were: 11. Waite, 4.30. 1. time 41.20 11. Beehre, 5.0. 2, time 41.51; F. Seliars, 4.30, 3. time 41.50: A. Pinfold, 1.45, 4, time 39.40. Fastest timo was registered by I. Bellini in 38.35, off scratch. The Thames Cycle Club held an 18-milo race on Saturday. A strong crosswinvl hampered the riders and times were slower than usual. Result:— D. Andrew (3.30). 1; K. Edkins (scr). 2; W. Burr (scr), S. Fastest time: K. Edkins, 53.30.
