KEDGLEY REPLACES CARTER. Mr. Frank Sutherland, the sole selector, has chosen the following fifteen to represent Auckland against Hawke's Bay at Eden Park on Saturday:— Full-back.—Bush ('Varsity). . Three-quarters. — Milliken (\arsity), Caughey ('Varsity), Kedgley ('Varsity). Five-eighths. — Slyfield (Grammar), Jamieson (Ponsonby). • Half-back.—Coiner (Grammar). Forwards.—Finlayson (Graf ton), W. Hadley (Marist), S. Hadlcy, captain (Marist). Hardie (Grafton), Ross (College Kifles), Drake ('Varsity), Anderson ( Varsitv), Solomon (Ponsonby). Reserves—Backs: K. Carter (Ponsonby), Mulvihill ('Varsity). Forwards: Newdick (Ponsonby), Wiklund .(Manukau). The only change in the rearguard from the side which defeated North Auckland 25 H at Dargaville on July 2G is the substitution of Kedgley for Carter, thus bringing the whole 'Varsity line into action. In the forwards, Drake and S. Hadley, who were not available for the Northern match, are included. Hawke s Bay has never beaten Auckland here. Auckland B v. Thames Valley. The team to play Thames Valley at Paeroa on Saturday will be:— Full-back.—Heazlowqod, captain (Manu-'Three-quarters. — Pearson (Otahulni), Berridge (Manukau), Brown (College Five-eighths.—Tqwnsend (Training College), Dare (Training College). Davis (Gratton), Bowling (Technical), Loclungton Reserves.—Back; Cooncy (Marist). Forward: Shadbolt (Graf-ton). Both teams arc requested to meet at the Training College field at eight o clock on Thursday.
