. Wo are all grateful to your correspondent |"W.V." for pointing out that the museum now being built in Wellington is not a war memorial, and, in other words, is the Wellington Museum. He omits, however, to draw attention to the fact that the unfortunate taxpayer throughout Now Zoalancl is compelled, whether he likes it 1 or not, to pay 50 per cent of the cost of the building-, presumably 100 per cent of the cost of furniture and exhibits, and certainly 100 per cent of the cost of maintenance of this Wellington Museum, for all time. In addition to this, each other centre has to pay the total cost of its own museum and the upkeep thereof.
