PERSIA AND MESOPOTAMIA.
In connection with a special exhibition of Indian and Persian art, an illustrated lecture, entitled "Through Persia and Mesopotamia," was given by Mr. C. E. G. Tisdall at the War Memorial Museum yesterday afternoon. Mr. S. Donaldson presided over a capacity attendance. In the course of his lecture Mr. Tisdall explained the art of Persian carpet-making, and described primitive harvesting operations. Pictures of beautiful rock carvings, estimated to be 2000 years old, were a feature of the numerous slides 6hown.
