WAIPA RACING CLUB.
DEBIT ON YEAR'S WORKING-. Mr. J. T. Young presided at the meeting of the Waipa Racing Club on Friday. The treasurer presented the financial statement for the year, which disclosed a debit balance. The verified figures will be presented at the annual meeting. The New Zealand Country Clubs' Association invited Waipa Club to join, but the matter was deferred. The Mayor of Te Awarmitu asked for assistance in connection with the provision .of adequate buildings at Albeit Park. Owing to the state of its finances the club was unable to make a donation at present. The question of disposing of the club's stables and house property was considered, and it was decided to accept any suitable offer. . The chairman reported that though no official information had been received, it was pretty definite that Bay of Plenty Club had been granted preference over Waipa in allocating the extra totalisator permit for Auckland province. *
